Entrepreneurs without Borders , reg. soc.
The society Entrepreneurs without Borders was founded in 2000 by entrepreneurs of various nationalities and branches as a platform for mutual exchange and has successfully implemented in the fields of start-ups and management consultancy as well as further training and education for more than 10 years.
The work of the society is focussed on the consolidation of the local economy, the promotion of start-ups, espe-cially of people with a migration background as well as on the participation of women in business life.
Entrepreneurs without Borders, reg. soc. promotes the building of networks on local and regional level. With this, the society has a bridge function between entrepreneurs and public bodies, chambers, institutions as well as authorities.
Specific attention is dedicated to start-ups and the entrepreneurship of women. The share of enterprises in Hamburg and Germany which are successfully led by female migrants is growing. Entrepreneurs without borders, reg. soc. supports this strong interest of women in economic self-employment in various projects and makes successful female migrants visible by various actions.
The aims of Entrepreneurs without Borders, reg. soc.:
- Counselling and accompanying small and medium-sized enterprises (KMU's) as well as start-ups,
- Strengthening and stabilisation of the firms in the city districts,
- Activation of the training and work potential in the firms,
- Promotion and cross-linking of small and medium-sized enterprises,
- Organisation of specialist conferences, discussion forums and cultural events,
- Networking and cooperation as well as regular exchange of experiences with regional, national and in-ternational organisations which are professionally related.
The achievements
In the projects, seminars and events of Entrepreneurs without Borders, reg. soc. held so far since the foundation of the society more than 10.000 people from more than 100 countries were informed, counselled, qualified or accompanied.
In 2011 alone in various projects:
- more than 720 persons starting a new business and firm owners were counselled, accompanied and coached
- nearly 1.300 persons have participated in professional events, seminars or network meetings.
Entrepreneurs without Borders, reg. soc. respectively its projects were honoured for their commitment:
- 2012 – the intercultural women’s economic centre - as "chosen place in the land of ideas",
- 2010 – Innovation award from SPD and AGS (working group self-employed people),
- 2007 - Good-Practice Example in the field "Promotion of migrants' economy" by the European Commission and
- 2006 – Recognition award of the Integration Advisory Board of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
